Based in Alberta, Canada, Rosetta Byte builds its own educational software products and partners with companies to build desktop, mobile and SaaS software.

Who we are

Rosetta Byte is a software company. We design, build and run our own products, starting with education. Learn-Typing, our free touch-typing platform, helps learners and teachers in many languages, and our next educational product, Battanova, is in development now.

We also partner with startups and established companies that have a software product in mind. We bring the experience of shipping and maintaining our own products, and our expertise across C++, Java, Node.js and Python, to desktop applications, mobile apps and SaaS products.

We focus on software. We don’t take on website design projects, so our full attention goes to the products we build, for ourselves and for our partners.

Product thinking. We start with the people who will use the software and what they need to get done, then build the simplest product that serves them well.

Short, visible cycles. We work in short iterations and share working builds early, so feedback shapes the product and you can launch sooner.
